We proudly celebrate the achievements of 50 CPE Graduates and 28 recipients of Board Certification, representing 8 faith traditions, 5 countries, and 20 states. This diverse and vibrant community reflects our commitment to inclusive spiritual care.

In addition, we welcomed several new WSHO Chapters of Chaplains across the USA and internationally, further expanding our network and impact. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey with us!

December 6, 2023 - Salt Lake City, Utah

Taking Training to the Next Level with Continuing Professional Education Opportunities. Under the direction and participation of WSHO President, Mark Allison, and newly appointed Director of Continuing Professional Education, Chaplain Scott McKenzie, WSHO will begin offering a bi-monthly continuing education series. "These professional trainings are designed to keep WSHO chaplains and pastoral counselors at the vanguard of professional chaplaincy," said Chaplain McKenzie.

CONGRATULATIONS to the WSHO Class of 2022! Celebrating it's 10 year anniversary, WSHO proudly bestowed the title of "chaplain" to 20 CPE Graduates, along with granting 20 Board Certification credentials. Graduates and honorary recipients represented a total of 7 states from 13 faith traditions serving in a variety of ministries, including athletics, hospitals, hospices, parishes, police departments, counseling centers, entertainment and broadcasting. WSHO celebrates its 10 Year Anniversary by introducing a brand new website and domain to better align with  WSHOs deep commitment to the highest standards of professional chaplaincy. "The newly designed website, program content and URL (wshochaplaincy.org) clearly place WSHO in the upper echelon of CPE and chaplain training and certification organizations anywhere in the world," said Mark Allison, WSHO President & Founder.

April 11, 2022 - Salt Lake City, Utah

A group of 10 WSHO chaplains and pastoral Counselors from across North America recently completed a first-of-its-kind online post-CPE continuing education refresher course led by Chaplain Mark Allison. Participants in the 6-week long program received a “tune-up” and "sharpening" of clinical ministry skills, in addition to being able to network and enjoy collegial support from fellow spiritual care providers. Based on the success of this first session, WSHO will hold another session Fall 2022.
